The Annual Meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge 2024

Tuesday 14th May 2024

The Annual Meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge will be held at Freemasons Hall, Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5AZ on Tuesday, 14th May 2024 at which the attendance is required of the Provincial Grand Officers, together with Masters, Past Masters, and Wardens of the Lodges of the Province.

The Pro Provincial Grand Master R.W. Bro. David Ian Allan will preside over the meeting.

Other members of Lodges in the Province, being Master Masons, are cordially invited to attend the Meeting but they may neither vote nor take part in the business, unless they are Past Masters of Lodges under the English Constitution and have retained their qualification as Members of Grand Lodge.

Visitors, being Master Masons, may attend if they are properly introduced. The Provincial Grand Master cordially invites Fellow Craft and Entered Apprentices to attend the Banquet only.

The Provincial Grand Lodge will open at 3.45 p.m. (Doors open at 2.45 p.m.). Please be seated by 3.15 p.m.

Brethren must complete and sign the Attendance Register before entering the Temple.

Active Provincial Grand Officers designate must collect their Active Rank Jewel and Rank Card from the Active Officers’ Registration Desk outside the Grand Temple before the meeting.

Dinner in the Grand Connaught Rooms, Great Queen Street, WC2B 5DA will be at 7.00 p.m. and the dining fee is £50 per person. A discount of £2 per person will be applied for bookings of 8 or more. The bar will be open prior to dinner.

Dining will only be available for those who have pre-booked, and payment has been received and due to limited spaces is available on a first to apply basis.

MORNING DRESS or DARK LOUNGE SUIT

Middlesex Provincial, Craft, Royal Arch or plain black tie, white collar and white gloves.

Brethren, including Grand Officers, should, if possible, wear Full Dress Regalia.

Masters and Wardens of Lodges in the Province will wear the appropriate Collar and Jewel.

PROVINCIAL BY-LAW 2.6

Every Lodge in the Province shall be represented at all meetings of Provincial Grand Lodge and any Lodge not so represented at a meeting shall be subject to severe censure by the Provincial Grand Master unless adequate reason for absence of representation be shown to the satisfaction of the Provincial Grand Master.
