Sunday 21st July 2024

Middlesex 1870 presents a unique afternoon on Sunday 21st July in the company of John Tye, a former BA Concorde pilot, who will give a short talk on his life onboard the world’s fastest commercial plane as well as some stories of his life.

Born in London on 12th December 1957 and adopted at an early age, John grew up in a secure and loving family environment. He did well at grammar school but turned down a place at university to join British Airways straight from school and went on to become one of only 134 pilots to ever fly Concorde for British Airways. After 46 years in the aviation business, John retired in December 2022 as a senior training captain on the Boeing 777.

The event will be held in the Napier Room, commencing with a reception at 12.00. John Tye will speak at 12.30 followed by lunch at 13.30. Following lunch, all visitors will be given free access to the Museum.

We also have a limited number of tickets for the Concorde Experience Tour priced at an additional £6 per person (first come first served basis) These can be booked when you reserve your place on our booking site.

Tickets are £50.00 per head, which includes a reception drink.
